Do you accept cancellations, returns or exchanges?
I gladly accept cancellations prior to the order being shipped; just send us an email to: SassyStringsYarnStudio@gmail.com and include your order number as soon as possible so can we catch it before it's shipped out.
Once your order leaves our hands we are unable to cancel your order or accept returns . We do recommend that you reach out to us if you are unsatisfied with your order so we can troubleshoot any issues. We want you to love your yarn so we will make every reasonable effort to ensure you are happy with your purchase.
Something wrong with your order?
We are human and mistakes do happen, please reach out to us so can work on correcting our error. Just send us an email including your order number to: SassyStringsYarnStudio@gmail.com .
Why do I not see dye lot information on the label?
Hand-dyed yarns, unlike commercially produced yarns, often lack consistent dye lots due to the artisanal and individualized nature of the dyeing process. The personalized approach results in variations between batches, making it challenging to replicate the exact colors and patterns consistently. Unlike large-scale manufacturing where precision and uniformity are paramount, hand-dyers embrace the beauty of unpredictability and celebrate the uniqueness of each skein. This absence of standardized dye lots introduces an element of artistic charm to hand-dyed yarns, captivating crafters in search of one-of-a-kind creations for their knitting or crocheting projects.
How should I care for the items I create with the hand dyed yarn?
We recommend washing in cold water and laying flat to dry.
All yarn is hand dyed in small batches with color fast, fade resistant dyes and rinsed until water runs clear (please note that minimal colour bleeding may occur on the first few washes of finished product especially with blue's). Every skein is unique, even within the same colourway. Every effort is made to ensure all photos represent the colours of the yarn as accurately as possible. Please know that there may be differences between what you see on your screen and the physical yarn itself as colours can vary from screen to screen.
Even though this yarn is a superwash it is recommended that finished products are hand washed (or on gentle cycle in washing machine) and laid flat to dry.

Hi Neighbour! We would love to help you save on shipping costs. Select Local pick up on check out and we will reach out to you when your order is ready for pick up.
Custom and personalized orders
As with all hand dyed yarn there will be slight variances in the yarn. For larger projects that may require more than one skein of yarn it is highly recommended you purchase more than you think you will need. When working on projects requiring more than one skein of hand dyed yarn it is also recommended that in order to prevent colour blocking you alternate between more than one skein of yarn every 2 to 3 rows.

Is Sassy Strings Yarn Studio pet friendly?
As this is an at home dye studio there is a slight chance of some dog fur sneaking into yarn. Every effort is made to keep our furry friend away from the yarn but it is inevitable that it it sneak it's way in there no matter how hard one tries.
